What counts as a business day
This calculator counts Monday–Friday as business days and excludes Saturday and Sunday. It does not currently exclude public holidays — a per-country holiday layer is on the roadmap. Useful for contract deadlines, shipping estimates, and legal or payroll dates that specify "business days."
Why weekends-only exclusion matters for planning
Business-day counting is the standard most companies use for shipping estimates, payroll cutoffs, and service-level deadlines — "5 business days" is a different, longer span than "5 days" once you cross a weekend. This calculator automatically skips Saturdays and Sundays whether you're counting the days between two dates or adding a number of working days to a single start date. Public holidays aren't excluded automatically since they vary by country and industry — factor those in separately if your deadline depends on them.
