Weekends Between Dates Calculator
Enter two dates to see how many complete Saturday-and-Sunday weekends fall between them.
How this is calculated
The calculator walks day by day through your range and counts every Saturday that's immediately followed by a Sunday still inside the range — that's a "full weekend." It also tallies weekend days (Saturdays and Sundays counted separately) and weekdays along the way, using the same day-by-day counting the Days Between Dates calculator uses. Full weekends can be lower than half the weekend-days count when the range starts or ends in the middle of a weekend.
Frequently asked questions
What counts as a "full weekend"?
A full weekend is a Saturday immediately followed by a Sunday, both falling inside your date range; if the range starts on a Sunday or ends on a Saturday, that lone day counts toward the individual weekend-days tile but not the full-weekends tile.
How is this different from the weekend count on Days Between Dates?
Days Between Dates shows total weekend days as one number; this tool specifically counts complete two-day weekends, useful for "how many free weekends do I have before X" type questions.
Does it include the start and end date?
It uses the same convention as Days Between Dates — full days between the two dates. If you pick January 1 and January 10, that's 9 days counted (January 2 through January 10), so the start date itself isn't included but the end date is.
