World Clock

Live local time for every city you care about, updating every second — including your own time zone, detected automatically.

How this is calculated

Each city's clock is resolved with its IANA time zone (e.g. America/New_York), which already encodes that region's daylight saving rules — so the displayed hour and UTC offset are always correct for today's date, not a fixed year-round offset. The clocks re-render every second directly in your browser. Tap a chip to add or remove a city; your own time zone is detected once on load and added automatically if it's one we support.

Frequently asked questions

How is my local time zone detected?

Your browser reports its configured time zone directly to the page — nothing is sent to a server, and no location data or IP lookup is used. If that zone is one we support, it's added to your city list automatically.

Does this account for daylight saving time automatically?

Yes. Each city's time is resolved using its IANA time zone, which carries its own daylight saving rules, so the correct current UTC offset is applied automatically for every zone shown — no manual adjustment needed, even on the days a zone switches.

Can I add or remove cities?

Yes — tap any city chip to add it to, or remove it from, the live table. The table updates immediately, no button needed.

When does daylight saving time actually change?

It depends on the region — see the dedicated Daylight Saving Time start and end countdowns for the exact US/Canada dates.
